With smoked mackerel? Baked into spiced tomatoes? Covered in a classic hollandaise with something fizzy on the side? We’ve noticed more and more invitations to catch up with friends on Saturday morning, not Saturday night. Brunch is having a moment, so we thought we’d throw a brunch party. A really big one that everyone can come to. So we teamed up with street food experts KERB, started looking at people who roast coffee and people who know their bacon and asked Camden Council if we could borrow a bit of King’s Cross for a day.
On Saturday 18 July 2015 we’re doing Brunch. Come and join us.

Can you drop an uncooked egg from a great height without cracking it? That’s the premise of The Egg Drop, taking place at Emerald Street Brunch. We’re inviting everyone to enter: just bring your specially designed box and we’ll put an uncooked egg in it, take it up in our special cherry picker crane and drop it off. If it remains unbroken, you get a prize and your name goes into a draw to win a night’s stay for two at London’s hip Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch. Don’t worry if you forget to make your Egg Drop box – we will have a special area filled with materials so you can have a crack (sorry) at making your own.
The first thing you do at Brunch? Head to the bar. At Emerald Street Brunch with KERB, everyone will be offered a complimentary Aperol Spritz, one of Italy’s favourite aperitifs (it’s one of ours too, funnily enough). The perfect drink to sip while sitting in a deckchair soaking up the rays of sunshine.
We like to celebrate. A lot. What better way to do that than with a glass of sparkling wine? At Brunch we will be offering every guest a complimentary glass of Cordon Negro from Spain’s top-class winemaker Freixenet. Cheers!
One of our favourite designers, the wonderful Rosie Wonders, will be offering complimentary temporary tattoos at Brunch. Choose from retro sailor tattoos, circus-themed illustrations and floral designs and Rosie and her team will apply them for you.
Join the talented women at The Makery for free craft classes. The team will be on hand to help you make floral headbands and necklaces. The full timetable of classes will be announced on the day.
Thanks! We've safely stored your email address and you will receive your first edition of Emerald Street soon.
