How to do textured braids by Hare and Bone London

Here's how to toughen up your plaits

Sam Burnett from London salon Hare&Bone tells us how to get this look.

“Braids are big news every season but this spring they stand out – it’s time to move away from the signature single side plait and switch up your style with multiple braids and different textures.”

Here’s how to get the textured braid look at home:

1. Create a matt beach texture with KMS Hair Play Sea Salt Spray.
2. Work two or three fishtail braids of differing thicknesses at either side of your face, starting from the very front of your head. [For how-tos on fishtail braids, try this video or these step-by-step photos]
3. Finally, pin your different braids at the back for a fresh, face framing feel.

“This look will work perfectly on holiday with sea-salt soaked locks,” says Sam. “Play with different partings and textures and you’ll have a new look every time.”
